For our participation in Art Rotterdam 2026 Dürst Britt & Mayhew is proud to bring a transhistorical group presentation.
We are juxtaposing works by three of our younger artists, Paul Beumer, Maja Klaassens and David Roth with works by three art historically important figures: Willem Hussem (1900-1974), 'zero-icon' Henk Peeters (1925-2013) and Jacqueline de Jong (1939-2024).
Concurrently Paul Beumer is showing his latest work in a solo exhibition at the gallery in The Hague and Jacqueline de Jong's work is included in the highly anticipated re-opening show of the New Museum in New York.
By bringing these artists' works into dialogue in Rotterdam, unexpected similarities and contrasts emerge, demonstrating that kindred spirits can meet, regardless of age or era.
