Raul Ortega Ayala’s work View in Pickersgill Harbour, Dusky Bay, New Zealand (after William Hodges) – Version 3, has been included in 'Rayos X Mexicanos', the first exhibition that surveys the use of X-rays in Mexican photography and art. The exhibition brings together a diverse selection of archival images spanning the early twentieth century to the present, including an X-ray of Frida Kahlo's spine alongside works by pioneering artists and photographers such as Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Graciela Iturbide, and Francisco Toledo.
The exhibition is presented as part of the twentieth-anniversary celebrations of CaSa (Centro de las Artes de San Agustín) and the thirtieth anniversary of the Centro Fotográfico Manuel Álvarez Bravo (CFMAB), both in Oaxaca, Mexico and runs from 26 June to 9 September 2026.
